The Zone
The Zone is an Indianola Parks & Recreation program, offered in partnership with the Indianola Middle School, to provide a safe place for students to gather after school for fun activities with their friends and classmates. It is open to all Indianola Middle School students on Mondays and Thursdays, from 3:20 to 5:00 PM, from September through April. After checking in at The Zone, students enjoy a snack, and then it’s time for the fun to begin with activities such as:
- XBox 360 Kinect Games
- Nintendo Wii
- Rock Band
- Fun & fitness activities
- Walking program
- Minute to Win It Challenges
- Homework assistance
- Baggo tournaments
- Craft projects
- Special theme days
