Welcome to Indianola High School! We truly believe students high school years should be some of the best in their lives. As the district’s mission statement conveys, Indianola High School is a place of many “proud traditions.” Furthermore, we work to expand the “unlimited possibilities” that both challenge and shape our students. The high school climate is a positive and productive school environment which promotes an overall well-rounded high school experience. Students who graduate from Indianola High School have a solid foundation to be successful in the 21st Century.
Our building serves just over 1000 students in grades 9-12.

We encourage Indianola students to be active in school activities. High school activities include fine arts, extracurriculars, and many clubs. We set high expectations for our staff and students both in and outside the classroom setting. Indianola High School is the perfect sized high school that allows for many diverse opportunities for students while maintaining a small and comfortable setting. Whether it be performing a concert or competing on the playing field, Indianola students are able to perform on some of the best facilities in the state. Only be being active in school activities do students truly get the most out of their high school experience.
We offer a challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all ability levels, and high expectations are set for all students. There are over 120 different courses available to students, and students in grades 11-12 also have the opportunity to take college courses on our campus, and earn high school and college credit at no cost to the students or their families. Our graduates most often pursue further training after high school, and for the past five years we have calculated our post-graduation plans as follows:

We work hard to effectively communicate with the district’s stakeholders including students, parents, and community members. This web site is one of the communication avenues we use to keep our citizens connected to the district. You may also note that administrative and teacher blogs are a new addition to the website that serve as a good communication tool between high school staff and the families we serve.
